School Prayer Vigil

The Cookbook Committee needs more recipes! We need soup and salads,vegetables and casseroles,breads, main dishes and meats. As always we welcome desserts,,cakes,candy and cookies. Friends and family recipes are welcome.Recipe collection sheets are available in the Narthex and outside the church office. Place your completed recipes in the baskets located near the collection THE FINAL DATE TO TURN IN RECIPES IS SEPTEMBER 19th, 2010

We will be collecting:

Spaghetti sauce & noodles

Peanut butter

Jelly

powdered milk

 

This is in addition to the foods we are collecting for backpacks.

Although Mt. Vernon Methodist Church doesn't operate an organized van program, you'll be surprised how many of our members would be pleased to provide you with a ride to church!  Just contact our church office, leave your contact information and address, and we'll put someone in touch with you who will coordinate transportation for you.

We believe that we are called to spread Christ's love, and in order to do so we must reach beyond the walls of our church.  Don't be intimidated about asking for a ride.  You'll just be giving us an opportunity to make new friends.
